I've read both the PATIENT PROTECTION AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT and the HEALTH CARE AND EDUCATION RECONCILIATION ACT OF 2010 and was unable to find anything to this effect as being discussed on this forum.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9112397777222573411.post-31488332400203572232010-12-14T12:54:15.353-05:002010-12-14T12:54:15.353-05:00As a small business owner, I know this would be a ...As a small business owner, I know this would be a nightmare for me. The amount of paperwork required from city, state, and national governments for various taxes is already incredibly cumbersome and confusing. It's no wonder so many small businesses go OUT of business in a short period of time ... trying to keep up with the taxes and paperwork (instead of focusing on sales) is a full-time job. My objection is to 1099's for goods over $600, I spend a couple thousand a year at Staples so I would have to send them a 1099.Bunnie Riedelhttp://www.riedelcommunications.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9112397777222573411.post-40547209479721196602010-12-05T21:14:35.438-05:002010-12-05T21:14:35.438-05:00There are ways to do business rather than using a ...There are ways to do business rather than using a 1099 and I don't mean illegally either. Outsourcing may be one of them but still, be careful. And the 1099 rule will probably be reversed according to Obama's recent comments. Thanks for the post!Titus Alliancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16329153385706768607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9112397777222573411.post-80083051097419497032010-12-02T17:06:31.783-05:002010-12-02T17:06:31.783-05:00Bunnie,

But on the other, is the IRS really going to look at the gazillion of these 1099s? And how would they ever match them up with reported income? I'll do my part as well in spreading the word.Gayle L.
